Thunderbird Partnership Foundation Manitoba Buffalo Riders Facilitator Training and Community of Practice

TOMORROW: Info sessions on the Manitoba Buffalo Riders Training Program at 10am and 7pm!

The Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Education Centre and the Thunderbird Partnership Foundation have partnered to offer free training for Manitoba communities, organizations and individuals working with First Nation youth.

Buffalo Riders is a five-day virtual training, designed to strengthen and empower facilitators

with culturally relevant knowledge and skills needed to deliver the Buffalo Riders

Early Intervention Program in schools and communities. The training reflects the

latest research and Indigenous culturally specific teachings about resiliency, risk, and

protective factors, that facilitators may use to teach youth the skills needed to recognize

and resist social pressures around harmful substance use.
