Smudge the North End

SMUDGE THE NORTH END

In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21 IVNE, Anishiative and Ma Mawi will be walking through the North End with a smudge to share and acknowledge the indigenous ways of knowing and being.

We will be handing out water, snacks, books, IVNE swag and smudge kits made by Medicine Garden Society to community members we see on the way.

We will begin our day at North Point Douglas Women's Center and end our walk at the Ma Mawi UVC at 363 McGregor.

Our route takes us by all of the IVNE organizations, through Lord Selkirk Park up Selkirk Ave and then down McGregor. We will be at the Belltower at approximately 10:15 AM. If you would like to smudge, please wait for us there and remember to follow all current covid safety guidelines, wear a mask and social distance.
