[Image Description:

On a teal background is an indigenous woman with too long braids she wears a red bead and a pink ribbon through which each braid is strung, her face is a blank canvas no eyes, no nose, and where her mouth would be is the "red handprint" a symbol of missing and murdered Indigenous women and two spirit people.

She wears a crimson red dress with a pink collar and a black belt with yellow dots. Within this art piece color has great symbolism.

Today is red dress day a day in which we as indigenous people honor our missing and murdered sisters as well as continue to raise awareness for the horrific crimes affecting indigenous women and two spirit people. The black and yellow belt carries colors synonymous with black lives matters. Black and Indigenous women are some of the most underrepresentative and under reported statistics within news media and on this day this artwork is quite fitting as representation of the times.]
